Meditation is one: With Many Components
Focusing your mind, not letting your mind wander is called meditation in general sense. Wherever the mind is, meditation on it is meditation. It is considered meditation until the second thought comes to mind. But meditation does not mean only concentration.
Maharishi Patanjali has presented the eight limbs of yoga. It includes yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, meditation and samadhi. Meditation is a very important part of it.
Meditation is a process of the conscious mind, in which a person focuses his consciousness on a particular object in the external world. The act of constantly fixing the mind on a single thought or image is called meditation.
Different great men have defined meditation in different ways.
In the Ashtavakra Gita it is said that 'meditation is the state of non-objective consciousness'. As long as there is interest in the subjects, the attention remains dull with that person. Such people cannot be brought to the experience of meditation.Patanjali says, 'One can enter meditation only by perfecting Pratyahara. Accomplishing pratyahara is the state in which the instincts of the mind are completely restrained and the senses are freed from worldly rasa.
On the other hand, Osho says, 'Awakening from within is meditation. Meditation is to always be in a state of non-thought.
So meditation is awareness of self and object position. It is neither concentration nor perception. In concentration, the mind is concentrated, while in perception, the mind is one-sided. The mind is lost in meditation. Meditation is a journey back to the self. In meditation, all external instincts disappear, but the intensity of awakening remains.
It is explained in the Puranas that Lord Shiva taught Mother Parvati 108 types of meditation.
Meditation on our state of mind means sitting with our eyes closed. Sitting with closed eyes does not pay attention. Meditation means reaching a state of thoughtlessness. Blindness does not lead to indifference. More thoughts come when you close your eyes.
Therefore, before sitting in meditation, we have to do the catharsis. It is easy to concentrate only after the catharsis.
What is a Rechan?
Many of us have understood, been to and have done Rechan. Rechan is to throw away the filth in the mind. Rechan makes our body light. Anger, rage, malice, hatred, pride in us all washes away.
To say catharsis is to wash, clean the mind of our body and our mind. So that the accumulated tensions in the mind can be released, which will bring easy stability and experience the thoughtless feeling of meditation.
If a person wants to go to the height of meditation, catharsis helps a lot in the beginning. According to Rechan, Karma yogi means one who values the body or body is Pranava, Bhakti yogi means Bhava Pranava or emotional nature, Jnana Yogi means intellect is Pranava. All these three types of people work together.
How is the bowel movement done?
In the purgative process, the body is left completely free in an unrestrained manner and no matter what comes from inside, it does not stop crying, crying, shouting, laughing, kicking, shaking, dancing, moving its limbs and moving in all directions.
The mind should not be controlled and interfered with what is happening. You have to do whatever you want and be totally crazy about it. So that all the repressed feelings inside are thrown out. It is good to do 10-15 minutes of purging before meditating.
Benefits of Rechan
Diarrhea increases the oxygen label in our body. The carbon dioxide in the body is thrown out and energy communication flows in the cells of the body. We get relief from repressed feelings. The glands of the mind are opened. Energy spreads throughout the body. It is considered beneficial for every disease of the body and brings peace to the mind. Get rid of every stress.
After purging, you are ready for meditation. Even while sitting in meditation, the question arises as to which posture to sit in. There are many postures of meditation. Each currency has its own characteristics. But the mudra to be adopted while meditating is the mudra of knowledge.
Method of Knowledge Mudra
Touching the tip of the finger and the tip of the index finger or the first finger together. The other 3 fingers should be kept straight.
Advantages
- It helps in meditation and concentration and reduces the negativity of the mind.
-Regular practice improves memory.
-Helps reduce headache, insomnia and high blood pressure and reduces anger.
If we don't do jnana mudra, we can also meditate by another method. Meditation gives us strength. In order to let that power flow within us, we connect the 8 fingers of both hands together like a secret.
It helps us to flow the energy we have gained through meditation. We can go to meditation by one of these two methods. Now we both sit with our eyes closed.
Why do the eyes close in meditation?
Not only humans, every animal has two eyes. We see the world with two eyes. We know the animal world outside. A person without eyes is deprived of seeing the outside world. It is not possible to determine what is where. You don't know whether it's sunny or rainy. That is why a person without eyes is called blind. He is alienated from the world, despite the importance of the eyes, when we sit in meditation, those eyes become closed. Why do you close your eyes in meditation?
Apart from these two eyes that are visible outside, there is another eye inside us. Between the two eyes, which we call Bhrikuti, in between we have another eye, which is also called Trinetra, which means the Eye of Knowledge. When we meditate, we go inside ourselves and look at ourselves through these eyes.
The eye that looks outside is called Karma Chaksha. Karmachakshu works by looking at the scene and taking it to the brain. The eye of knowledge does the job of distinguishing the good, bad, right and wrong scenes in the brain.
The eye of knowledge is the eye that takes us to the inner sky. We see the outer sky with our skin-eyes, while we see the inner sky with the eyes of knowledge. This eye leads us to construction.
All creatures in the world have three eyes, but see When we walk outside in the sun and enter the house, we feel darkness inside the house. The light of the sun outside fades the light inside the house. But after sitting for a while, you can feel the light even inside the house.
Because gradually the eyes get used to cool light. The room is the same, the light inside the room is also the same. But from the outside, the dark room is now full of light - a calm, cool light.
Yes, this is how when we close our eyes, with the eyes of knowledge we see black darkness. Looking at that darkness, we gradually begin to see neither pure darkness, nor bright light, but shimmering light.
Be it in the morning light or in the evening, the light of both is almost the same. From childhood, we should not do any work during Sandhya period, at this time God comes to visit the earth. I have been hearing from my father and mother that aarti should be performed at this time and even today in the evening, aarti is performed in our house.
Therefore, the light found in the evening is very important. If we look at that shimmering light, we will be amazed. He who meditates for the first time does not believe. Yes, of course not, but when we sink deeper and deeper into meditation. We feel that, little by little, that glimmering light becomes more and more intense. If we keep looking at it, where will we reach? What do we see?
Also, we meditate by paying attention to the movement and intervals of the breath. And one day such a situation comes that the continuous series of thoughts and feelings in the mind and brain is lost. In such a situation we enjoy sushupti. This affects the subtle body. That effect becomes active and tries to get out of the gross body. Such a person is called Sambuddha or Siddha Purusha.
This is the first step on the path of religion. When the mindless state matures, and Sambodhi occurs. In this state, our mind remains stable. His relationship with the body is broken. But we remain in the body according to will. This is the state before kaivalya, moksha or creation. There is no difference between birth and death. There is no time. There is neither birth nor death there. Osho calls it 'Sambodhi'.
Ultimately, meditation is the transformation of ourselves. The usefulness of meditation is amazing. Meditation should be done in a group for the first time i.e. in the presence of a guru and later it can be done alone. Meditation helps to live a happy life by being sensitive to the body, thoughts, emotions or feelings.
Therefore, if every person wants to reach the height of meditation quickly, he should start meditation from rechan. If we meditate continuously for one month according to the above method, we will start to feel a sudden transformation.
In today's fast-paced life, meditation is indispensable for happiness and a happy life. We should give ourselves one hour in 24 hours. The mind that runs away to the world should also be directed towards oneself.
